About Franciscan Glass Company
Many of our customers ask us how long we’ve been in business, and then relate that they’ve been coming to us for their glass needs since they moved into the area.
Lloyd Bibo started Franciscan Glass Company in 1960 after managing a branch store for another glass company. In 1966 he built the store we are in presently. Shortly thereafter, Roger Bibo took charge and added stained glass sales and classes. These lead to the formation of our wholesale division.
After Roger’s passing in 1989, his 3 sons continued the business forward, growing in both segments, i.e. glazing installations and wholesale supply of art glass, from two locations. Ruth Bibo headed up accounting and kept close track of finance during growth and challenging economic times for three generations! Roger Jr. now oversees the business while his brothers Phil oversees the stained and clear textured glass division in Newark Ca. , while Danny oversees the Mountain View location which still services most everything in the glazing industry.
We love our business, the work we perform and hope that it shows at the completion of every job.
Each of us has our own area of expertise, but we share the commitment to live up to the unswerving standards for excellence in all we do that were set by our father and grandfather.
